FP Animal Therapy Centre opened in 2022 to expand on our owner's four years of experience offering mobile physiotherapy appointments. Opening our own centre meant we could offer hydrotherapy, starting with our Underwater Treadmill. In June 2023 we expanded further with the introduction of our Hydrotherapy Pool.
Flora is our founder and leading therapist. She graduated from Coventry University with First Class Honours in a three year Veterinary Physiotherapy degree. She is an active member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) and the Animal Health Professions' Register (AHPR).
Flora is experienced with dogs and cats, having carried out placements with a range of dogs during her studies, and having had many family pets over the years. Flora undertook further training to become a qualified canine hydrotherapist and is an active member of The Institute of Registered Veterinary & Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP). She has built a wealth of experience with rehabilitation cases, as well as performance enhancement of sporting dogs, previously working at Moulton Animal Therapy Centre.
"Physiotherapy should be a part of any dog's life"
Flora also has a wealth of experience in the equestrian world, having worked at a showjumping yard for many years, and a race yard in Newmarket. In her time at these work places, she grew to learn how to keep horses fit and ready for competition. Flora has undertaken a lot of work experience to understand the various disciplines, and the demands and pressures faced by these horses.
Jess joined us in August 2023. She has a multitude of experience in animal care having attended Berkshire College of Agriculture. She furthered her experience within the dog sector working at a rescue centre and most recently for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in the healthcare team. Jess has a particularly good understanding of dog behaviour and general care for our beloved dogs and she is excited to use this knowledge to help the lovely dogs we see.
Jess holds a Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy and is a member of the Institute of Canine Hydrotherapists. Jess is also currently undertaking further learning and qualifications towards a Level 6 Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy. Jess has a passion for animal welfare and is an incredibly friendly, knowledgeable addition to the team.
Jess will be taking hydrotherapy sessions and we therefore have more appointment availability, so please contact us if you’re interested.
